Gorilla City is a city in Africa set up by sentient gorillas after their exposure to a meteor (part of planet Krypton). The gorillas became larger, stronger, and smarter. This development went unknown due to the gorillas’ ability to salvage the alien tech and build a city in the crater, complete with a dimensional partition field.[1]
It was ruled by Solovar, but he was overthrown by Grodd.
In 2017, the city was hit with a plague.

- When a plague hit Gorilla City in the spring of 2017, Doris Zeul was the only human allowed to enter Gorilla City to treat the disease. She was actually specifically requested by Grodd himself, by name.[2]
- The residents of Gorilla City have their own holidays:
- Ascension Day - Commemorating their founding
- Great Feast - Honoring their agricultural workers
- Great Hunt - Honoring their hunters and warriors
- Fallen Moon - A month dedicated to remembering their dead
- Mating Moon - A month dedicated to mating season
